Terms and Conditions

1. The service

The platform provides school-based digital learning with computer foundations, digital skills, computational thinking and responsible AI lessons. Teachers and administrators can view learning records within their authorised scope.

An internet connection and a suitable browser are required. Electronics, robotics and interactive coding execution are provided separately, not through this learning portal. Content and available features may change as the platform develops.

2. School accounts and children

Accounts are provided through the Academy’s approved school process. A public account request is an enquiry, not automatic registration or a guarantee of access.

Learners should use the platform with school and appropriate adult guidance. A child’s use of the site is not treated as independent agreement to commercial terms or as consent for all processing of their personal information. Schools and the Academy must establish the appropriate authority for enrolment and processing.

3. Your responsibilities

Use only your own authorised account. Keep credentials private and sign out on shared devices. Tell your school administrator if your account, grade, class or access appears incorrect.

Do not impersonate another user, harass anyone, upload unlawful content, access another school’s records, copy private learner information, bypass lesson or access controls, disrupt the service or introduce malicious software. Report suspected security issues privately without accessing or exposing more information.

4. Learning and assessment

Lessons unlock according to required completion checks and saved progress. Completion records and practice-test scores are learning aids, not independently verified examination marks, accreditation or a guarantee of mastery.

AI evidence labs use prepared fictional responses. AI can produce inaccurate or misleading answers; check important claims and follow school rules. Do not put private information into external AI services. Session-only practice and reflections may not be retained; follow the lesson’s instructions for saving practical work.

5. Content and permitted use

Use lesson materials for authorised learning and teaching. Rights in third-party images, trademarks and linked resources remain with their respective owners; their source-specific permissions still apply.

Do not resell the platform, redistribute protected materials publicly or remove attribution without the relevant permission. Learners retain any rights they hold in their own original work. These terms do not claim ownership of that work.

6. Privacy and support

Read the Privacy Policy and POPIA information page for the information processed, its purposes and how to raise a rights request. Public support forms should not contain passwords, identity documents or learner spreadsheets.

Contact forms currently prepare an email in your own mail application. Nothing is sent until you send it there. The general enquiry draft includes the disclosed copied recipient. For a private data-rights request, use the direct privacy email link on the privacy pages.

7. Access, interruptions and changes

Access may be restricted for security, misuse or changes in school enrolment. Contact your school or the Academy to query a restriction. Suspension does not remove your statutory information rights.

Maintenance, connectivity or other failures may interrupt learning. If a save fails, follow the retry instructions before closing the page. No uninterrupted-service or learning-outcome guarantee is made. Nothing here excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The date and version on these pages identify revisions. Material changes affecting school arrangements should be communicated through the school or an appropriate notice; this page does not override an existing agreement without the required process.

8. Fees, applicable law and disputes

There is no checkout or fee agreement on this page. Any school fees, cancellation terms or service commitments must be set out in a separately agreed school contract.

These terms are intended for use in South Africa, subject to applicable South African law and mandatory consumer rights. First contact the Academy to seek a resolution; this does not prevent approaching a competent regulator or court.
